VIS is a gamble company. Some have had a great experience others havent. Its one of those things where you either love it or hate it. Personally im going with FI but VIS is a good company as well just make sure you can see it in person before buying it

Grade A or even AA(I've never heard of a AA grade) in this case don't mean jack. Any company can claim to have a big bad "GRADE A"
The thing that you have to ask them is what is the "K" count of their hood. The "K" count is how many thousands of fibers per square inch are in the hood. The "K" count determines the quality of the hood. All of those cheap CF hoods(VIS) have less than a 6,000 K count.
Top quality hoods like Fiber Images, Kaminari, and DG Motorsports all have K counts of well over 12,000. That is a top quality hood.
You get what you pay for. Notice how only cheap, crappy hood companies talk about having Grade A hoods.......Kaminari, FI, DG don't even mention that crap about their hoods cause they know that it doesn't mean ****.
Your VIS hood will never look at as good as my Kaminari hood. VIS will look all wavy, etc......

Even Kazell makes better quality **** than VIS.
Why do you think their hoods are so cheap?
Yeah, I dont like how the Kaminari fibers dont wrap all the way around, VIS has improved there hoods and are top quality, I can say this because I own one(invader) . Ive seen the differences in person. I can Honestly say that Fiber Images is the best. . But VIS now wraps the carbon ALL the way around, meaning the underside skeleton of the hood is also Carbon Fiber. If you want a VIS, go for it. Best price Ive seen is phxracing on ebay.

Yeah don't listen to some of the stuff that is said on here sometimes. I have a vis hood and I love it. No waves, nice tight weave, and the carbon wraps to the underside. And to clear this up vis makes 2 kinds of hoods. GRADE A, AND GRADE B CARBON!!!! I like the kaminari hoods but for me it is too hard to get kaminari products out here because the company wants to be jerk offs and charge out the butt for shipping. Where as when I got my vis hood from a local shop they got it from the manufacturer in 2 weeks. Pretty good in my eyes. But don't get me wrong, kaminari FI, DG motorsports are all great company's it's all in your preference. Take your time, your car deserves it!!!!!! Good Luck!!!!
screw the weight stuff...just take your hood off and tell people you have a clear cf hood...def lighter and cheaper...or maybe you need a hood
you want a cf hood that is strong and light. it has to be ridged enough to stand up to the wind that hits it. you don't want it flexing and eventually ripping off, thats why you put those hood pins on them if you think you are fast enough to need them
