so here is what i am deciding on...
carbon creations-- oem or monster style

***fiber images---oem style***
http://www.fiberimages.com/images/pr...1/civic01c.jpg
***c-wings-oem style***
http://www.importfan.com/product.asp?3=132
i am leaning towards fiber images, and c-wings
any one have any info on any of these hoods? any other brands im not considering?
whats brands r u guys using?

VIS is on the top to. my boy got a 01 inca civic and hes everywhere on the net and has tons of sponors and he has VIS and he loves it. no problems what so ever. i have the bodykits northwest oem hood. only problem was it didnt aligned right at first but i took it to my shop and he did it so no biggie. the c-west hood a member and he goes by my2k1vic he bought it and he told everybody DONT BUY IT ITS CRAP. you might want to talk to him about it. i would buy VIS, fiber images or bknw.
i have bodykits northwest and i love it..
just installed my pins today along with it..
very nice combo..
if samari still has his hood for sale, i'd buy his..
very nice hood, and a pretty cool guy also!

i would say go the oem style one cause it looks clean and is obtrusive, but why not go with kiminari or there are other companies as well for that style of a carbon fiber hood

*C-Wings not C-West is crap a friend of mine got one and was missing the front trim piece and the spaces front where the hood and body touch were different on both sides and had problems with the latch and their customer support is crap. F.I. is great and so is bknw can't go wrong with either.
I think any of the known brand hoods are great quality. So i made price my deciding factor. I looked at a $350 hood and it looked like crap. I looked at a vis hood and it looked so much more cleaner not wavy like the "genesis" hood. So im buying that hood for $425

showstoppersusa.com does have it for sale. you just have to call and ask them. that is what i had to do for the fender flares and they got them for me for $299. they have great service. i asked about the wings west evo hood and they said they could get it but they said the VIS evo hood would be better.

Samari are you serious about the fiber images hood? cuz i live close to there factory and checked them out. there the only ones ive seen that you can jump on and the only thing that cracks is the fiberglass support and it still holds all its shape

Im sure they are good as far as jumping on them and not breaking. I used to have the FI 3m style cf hood and it went to crap. It faded out and all that. There is also a local store in my city and the peeps who own it only sell and have FI hoods and I saw them on there rides and they were all faded out. I dont know. I know they are high quality but i will get a VIS hood. Quality and everything else is good, i used to have one on my 92 accord and it was the bomb.

thanx for ur opinions guys! im down to either fiber images or bknw. i emailed both so well see what happens. if neither of em work out ill just get another one, like i already have.
oh and as far as hood strength, i recently was in an acciedent (why i need a new hood) and the hood held its shape fine... the gel coat is what cracked..so theres impact "spyder lines" across certian areas of the hood.
so if any one is intreasted in buying my old hood its for sale, cheap!! (sells new for over 500)
i wouldn't recomend it for some one to put on a show car, but instead to some one who needs a light *** vented hood that they dont have to worrie about wrecking!!!
