Rep Power: 291 Power Window Pictures
I get hundreds of PM asking about my power window pictures
so i just took the time to take some
Credits: Mex (for DIY), SkipBarber (for troubleshoot), Sovereignx (for idea)
Name: SPAL UNIVERSAL KIT - Two Illuminated Switches
(some reason they don't light up for me)
Place to buy: www.eBay.com
Cost: Approximately $85 with shipping
Benefit: NO MORE CRANKING and goes twice as fast as oem but no oem look

Rep Power: 311 BOOYAH! center console switches OWN! was a tight fit though. I would have never guessed your car was a DX vinh, from the outside.
ewww! you got the arrows! here's mine:
I didn't bother hooking up power to light up the little windows. I'm not letting anything else drain my batteries.
Aren't the doors SOOOO much cleaner and more smooth flowing than before? I just pretend they little caps are 'tweeters'. lolz

SPAL is proven (by the 3 members here who have done the upgrade) to be great. But if you don't trust ebay enough, go to www.autoloc.com
A little more pricey. They also have power doorlocks, keyless alarm entry, shaved handles kits, etc! lotsa stuff to play with in the future.

Rep Power: 291 thought about it but i doesn't fit because it uses the existing
gears to rotate the windows....
so the motor rotates in a gear to gear (like a clock) concept

I think the best spot for them on the door is forward of the door handle. Unfortunately, I put my tweeters there, so I'll probably put them on the center console like the other guys.
BTW, here's the link to a guy that sells these kits alot:
And here's SPAL's Homepage if anyone wants to read up on them.

Rep Power: 311 here's something that DX owners might want to print out.
DX Owners' Desireable Upgrades Checklist:
[ ] Power Windows
[ ] Power Door Locks
[ ] LX/EX Gauge Cluster
[ ] Body Color Matching Exterior Trim (door handles, mirrors, trunk piece)
I'm halfway done with my list!
and so far, I've only spent less than $200 on power windows and door locks

Rep Power: 292 I'm seriously considering the first two on your list, XxSoVeReiGNxX.
I've taken care of the other two though!
I installed an aftermarket tach, and I've painted the door handles and trunk trim already with Plasti-Kote 5302 silver. Gotta fix my pinstripe problem...long story...I'll tell you about it one day..

Rep Power: 0 Hey i have only done one mod to my DX i have a Viper Alarm installed with keyless entry and when i get into the car and start it up the doors automactically lock. I was considering doing power windows but i wasnt sure how well they worked. i mean yes the manuel windows are a huge inconvience but i would ranther have them then power windows that either go up really slow and sometimes stall please give me info on how well the windows have been working for you thanks

Rep Power: 0 hey thanks for the links that show the different sets of power windows its a really helpful link. i dont think i will get the LX/EX cluster i think it might be easier just to add a tachometer then to try to find a cluster that matches your miles and other things
