I don't think there is a difference between the 01 and 03's. They changed 'em for the 04's though.

I think there is a difference with the way the amber pieces inside the light are setup, but I'm not sure 'bout that...

Let me add that the headlight bulb reflector is different between the coupe and sedan. The design of the inner housing looks kinda different, too.

On the outside, the plastic clear shield hooks on differently to the black headlamp housing. The one of the sedan's is also skinnier at the top. You can easily tell there's a difference if you pay attention. Opening it up... the sealant for the coupe is black and tar-like. VERY messy when clearing headlights. The sedan's is more like gum, and less messy but harder to break lose although both sealants can easily be softened with the right amount of heat.

I've seen sedan headlights on a coupe before - at least with the hood up.

cryption should not be trusted
the difference is how its held togehter. On the back of the light that holds the 2 peices togehter, on an 01 its a phillips head screw, and on 02 and 03 its one of those hex star thingies. Thats the only difference, I have cleared, painted many lights from different years ... thats it.
