Used or New that is the question

AIght i am looking at purchasing a Revo SS, since everyone here raves that they are an awesome upgrade....and i am tierd of having such a high shift ****. The shorter throws will help me as well while driving a lil aggresive. The question is; I can get a used unit for about 14 dollars less than a new unit from tornactive (while using the 7thgen coupon code). What do yall think.....should i just buy a new one or save the flow and buy the used one? Will i be able to tell a difference between a new and a used one besides the new one coming in a new box? Will a new one be stiffer? Thanks!

That is a good question.

Well, since it used, has it been abused? (sorry if that rhymed) I mean, used stuff, especially a SS, might not be as good as a new one.

Plus, it's only $14 to get a new one. I would just shell out the $14 and get it new.

Only if Honda can prove that's what broke your engine/transmission/whatever.

Of course, you can always take it off and put the stock shifter back on....

It won't void your warranty. Revo is built like a rock, I wouldn't hesistate to buy a used one. I loved it when I had my Civic. I bought it when it just came out so I paid some $105. Damn.

i dont think we should worry about the warranty so much, since u can always put the car bak to stock...aside from turbo, nitrous, etc...

wow those are not too expensive either!
it says 18 with the revo/obx upgrade, does that mean that it actually comes with the ss?
it does say that the busings will make it feel more sold and stuff, and do they do that well? like from someone that isnt trying to sell them...

The guy who's selling them is on this site, he makes them himself. There really not that expensive to manufacture, and yes they make a huge difference. They replace the stock rubber mushy ones!
