HX vs EX header ?

I seem to have trouble finding a header AND downpipe for a hx. All I find is ex header and downpipe. So what I am thinking is just get the ex header with downpipe, but the only thing that I have heard different from hx header then the ex is the cat. I need to know if that is the only difference I dont want to buy a ex header and find out that the header is different too. Any info on this would help alot.

The down pipe if different as well if I'm not mistaken. The cat in the HX is located next to the header and the cat on the EX is further down on the down pipe.

Yes it should work if you get a shorty header or just the top part, like the DC, OBX or other generic brands. If you get the long header or one pice header you don't need the down pipe but you will need to buy a cat and probably would need the header installed at a shop.
