Neuspeed Short Shift Adapter
Neuspeed Short Shift Adapter
Alright...I just bought a Neuspeed Short Shift adapter. I got everything together that i needed and went out to install. This just happens to be the first thing i've installed on a Civic in general, so i'm not overly familiar with them. I happen to have a 2003 EX coupe. following the fun little instructions from Neuspeed (they happen to be for a DX) and a few differences are very apparent. There seems something holding it down at the front part of the actual console, next to the E-break. Am I being exreamly paranoid and just pull harder, or is there something holding it down that i can't see?? HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup there is, take out the rear piece of the console first by unscrewing the two screws at the end of the consold and remove it. Take it out, and you'll see what is holding down the front part of the console. Also check the DIY on removing the console.
you'll like you Neuspeed SS, ive had mine for well over a year, and have yet to have a bad thing to say about it. Everyone that i bang gears for are shocked that i can shift that fast.
Have fun

Tried pulling the back panel off, but it won't give. I removed the 4 screws at the bottom that hold it together, but it still will not come off. It looks like it's attached to the cup holder bracket which appears to be attached to a floor bracket. I see the spot towards the mid section of the console where yet another hidden screw is (to the left of the e-break) but i just cant get there. This really shouldn't be giving me this much trouble!!!
