Unhappy a/c condensor's leaking

remember people... don't let anyone drive your car when they don't know how to drive stick, especially if you have a fiberglass front bumper.... anyways...

i let my sister drive my car around and she hit a dip going like 50 or something... she shattered my fangs on my bumper and left a FAT stress crack which allowed the bumper to bend and slam into my a/c condensor.... it was okay for a while and last night while chillin' with some friend, i noticed that my car was SMOKING!!!!!i was like what the heck?!? so i opened up the hood and saw that the smoke was coming from my a/c condensor and there were little chunks of ice around the ruptured area... so i guess i need to replaced that pretty soon...

anyone know where and how much i can get an a/c condensor for our cars ???

like i've been telling my dad, unless you HAVE to have something brand new, an auto-salvage yard is a great place to goto. My dad was quoted $400 for a new radiator fan/motor/assembly from the dealership (not a honda), $160 for just a new motor (online), and then $50 from an auto-salvage yard. When he got there, it was actually only a year old part that was in a car that got rear-ended and totaled.

Get a used condensor, and throw 1 1/2 can's of autocool into the system yourself. It's cheap and works better.

Well, when I hit a raccoon last summer, it cost $600 for a new fan, new radiator, and new A/C condensor. the fan was $75 I believe, radiator $150, so probably about $400 with labor, but that's brand new.
And you want brand new, don't deny it. So take that money out of your sister somehow and just get a new replacement ...

Sorry though man, that sucks. Good luck

aight... i drove around all night with my ventilated air on full blast and the windows open and it was still hot... dood i couldn't take it so i took it into a trusted mechanic today and i go that shiz fixed.... it's supposed to get even hotter soon... damnit... it only took him like 1.5 hours to do and he used brand new parts.... i got everything done including full system testing, refridgerant, new condensor, labor and a few other minor things for like 260

i'm glad i have a/c again... it's like 110 outside and my windows are closed...woot!@
