Looking For A Quiet Exhaust?
Hey Everybody,
I'm new to the forum, and I'm looking to start shopping for my wife's 03 civic ex. I'm looking for an aftermarket exhaust that has a deep throaty sound, but would like it to be as quiet as possible. I've been in the DSM community for years (03 evo, 99gst, and 96gsx), and I don't have much exposure to Honda's. The civic is great to drive, but I would be happier with more power. My wife wants it to look and sound as close to stock as possible. Any Suggestions?
Thanks!

oh i have an idea! just uncouple her exhaust, itll look stock and sound a little better. take off the right back tire and remove the bolts and springs holding the muffler to the resonator, then put the springs in between the pipes and screw the bolts back in nice and tight.
Thanks Horatio and Boilermaker1. I actually had an rsr on my eclipse before going with a Thermal. I really liked the sound of the rsr, and from the photo you posted of the civic exhaust it looks very "factory" with the black muffler. Thanks!
Hondasport2k3, thanks for the info, I'm going to check out the Greddy as well. I don't have the greddy evo exhaust, I have a 2003 lancer evo (my car) the 03 civic is my wifes!
Thanks for the info everybody!

go for the RS*R ExMag.

ExMag features
- quietest exhaust note on the market (most applications)
- refined stealth like appearance
- ceramic coated mandrel bent piping
- dyno proven gains in horsepower and torque
- engineered in Japan
- signature RS-R exhaust tip
- constructed with 409 stainless steel for long life
With the street performance enthusiast in mind, RS-R developed the ExMag exhaust line to provide powerful gains in horsepower and torque while retaining a quieter exhaust note. It is a well known fact that it is extremely difficult to produce an exhaust system that makes good power without the excessive noise. However, through extensive R&D at RS-R Headquarters in Japan, all ExMag systems have been dyno proven to provide significant power increases over similar exhaust systems. Our "Exhaust Magic" lineup offers an excellent alternative to the noisy "coffee can" style of exhausts.
If you're tired of getting tickets and citations for excessive noise, this is the exhaust system you need. The classic styling and stealth like design will also help keep your car off the radar.

i have the dc twin can on my 03 lx its 94db's max.... its pretty quite.
one problem with the greddy was if you plan to beef up ur rear sway bar the exhaust hits it and rattles like crazy. i did notice a increase in hp with the tcs and my power band seems smoother...all stainless steel too. i have no complaints with it, and recomend it
