i dont know what but some crap is going on, 4 days ago i had some dumbass crackheads snooping around my car and last night around 11 some punk *** spook set off my car's alarm and when i ran to the window to see, i saw him sprinting away. i was wondering, do all of u who have done mods to ur civic's which made them look really good and attractive, do all of u live in rich white neigborhoods? i am moving in like 4 days from these black/white trash infested apartments to an area that isnt that bad so hopefully i wont have to worry about broke *** ******s who dont have jobs and white trash who dont have jobs. BTW, I AM NOT A RACIEST, i live in philly and what i realized is that there are black people and there are ******s, 2 totally different types of people. i have no problem with black people, i have no problem with spanish people, i have no problem with jewish people or any1 normal, but i do have a major problem with ******s, spics and kykes. i just wanted to get the raciest **** out of the way cuz i aint a raciest. anyway, what are some of the best ways to protect ur car so it'll be hard as hell to steal it. i have an alarm, rim locks and the club. any1 have any good suggestions on protection of cars and dont forget to answer the question i asked b4. do all of u who have hooked up cars live in rich white neihgborhoods? thanx for the info

I live on an up-scale side of town.. I moved to this side for the same reasons you just listed... I once came out to my VW bug and found that it had an oil dipstick shoved in the ignition... they were trying to steal my BUG.... in my drive way and behind my fence... lucky bastard... so lucky I didnt catch him/her. CAUSE I DO SUPPORT MY NRA!

well a good alarm is always good, make sure you have ignition kill on it. Also the club is pretty worthless, you should get that brake lock kit which is like the club for your brake pedal. Also in Texas I can kill someone trying to jack my stuff on my property. Other then that if someoen really wanted to take your car they will, and if they can't they'll probably vandalize the crap out of it.

rich white neighborhoods aren't no-fear either. growin up i lived in a pretty upscale neighborhood. all white kids, all rich, all spoiled. but its those kids that always had fun f0cking with my car. had my stereo stolen 2 times in my driveway. my car vandalized a time or two. all i can say is i eventually found out who was messin with me. and to this day, they're sorry they even thought of fuggin with the only asian on the street.

not exactly the language I would have used as its easy to take it out of context, but I see what youre saying and generally agree. in answer to your questions, I just moved from a small town to "the big city" of louisville. got my first apartment up here alittle over a year ago, within a month someone had broken in and stolen my girlfriends cd player out of her car, and someone hit my car with their vehicle. i found out who it was and they were uninsured, im in the process of court. anywho, my pops bought me a condo and its supposed to be completed the 31st, cross my fingers, and im out of here. what im trying to say is no matter where you are, your stuff is vulnerable, and a lot of times it is someone with money or younger people with nothing better to do. get an alarm, and check out the window from time to time. what more can you do?

thanx wingswestcivic, i have an alarm but hopefully should work with some idiot who doesnt knwo what his doing like last night. i hope after this thread is over i can get a couple of ideas about how to protect my car better with somethign besides an alarm

maybe an alarm with a proximity sensor would do you good. You could set it so that whenever anyone came within 10 feet of your car, it would chirp, and if you bought a dual stage one, you could make your alarm actually go off if they got to within a couple of feet. You may have another input port on your existing alarm which would allow you to just go out and buy one. They are relatively cheap (about 40 bucks), and pretty easy to install as well. Good luck. If all else fails, get a bumper sticker that says "protected by Sig Sauer". By the way, in states other than Texas, you cannot kill a person for stealing your things. Only if they are threatening you with SEVERE bodily harm or death, or that of your family can you use lethal force. You will ABSOLUTELY go to prison and get *** raped every day if you kill someone for attempting to steal your belongings.

thats a good *** idea MAGS, i never even though about that, i'll ask about that proximity thing at a car audio place i get everything done at. i thought that it is ok to shoot somebody stealing ur stuff as long as it wasnt in the chest. if u shot the punk in the back then u are going to jail and gettin the *** rape thign done, but r u sure if u shoot som1 in the chest u will still go to jail even though it would look like self defense. the thing y i'm really pissed about this whole ordeal is because i work a lot for the things i get and it really gets on my last nerve when people who dont wanna work for anything steal, not only my crap but any1 elses for that instence. anyway, thanks for the advice

your shop might call it a 'motion sensor' instead of a proximity sensor. They will definately know what you're talking about, though. If all else fails, move to a place where you have a garage.

with that motion sensor, would my dad's parked car next to mine set it off? not liek if my car was standing there and he pulled up, if both of our cars where standing next to each other and i set the alarm, would my dad's car next to my car set it off ever second?

I was going to get proximity alarm, but one thing that bothers me is wouldn't a rabbit or a deer set of the alarm 6 times a night? The proximity alarm just scares them away, but if they know it's a bluff they'll disable the alarm and steal the car anyway.
Also, I talked to a friend of mine about how to prevent your car from thieves, he told me to install a very bright strobe light inside the car along with a tweeter that sends out very high frequency of some sort, apparently no one can stay calm and think how to steal your car under this combination. Of course, you'll have to fool around with the wiring and hide it somewhere out of place so they won't be able to disable it. This might help.

Mag there is an alram system, that i will look up and find out where to get it, but it has a shock device on it. If the system is armed and someone tries to get your car they will get shocked. They say its a good enough jolt to make you step back and rethink what you were doing. when i find it i will post it. But i dont believe you are racist. I know exactly what you are saying.

i don't know if you're talking about the same thing, but i've seen it on ebay. It looks just like a club but if you touch it you get a large shock. And its extra long so it cover the radio as well so they get shocked if they try to steal your radio.

I saw an ad for that late one night. It was awesome. They had this professional thief trying to steal this car, and he got the sh*t zapped out of him. He wouldn't go near it. I was laughing, but it was late and I was half asleep. Anyway, good luck.

tilt sensor will work great for towing, or someone jacking your car to steal rims.
motion sensor will make the alarm go off with constant motion around the car.
shock sensor triggers the alarm with vibration.

the club doesnt work. if youre worried about that, ghost switch your car with either an action or an invisible button. ghost switch for example will only let you start the car if your headlights are on...or a door is left open..etc...invisible switch is hidden under the carpet or dash and you have to press it to start the car. get creative.
