Question TYC Projectors/HID Retrofit

Has anyone ever attemted to open up their TYC projectors? I am going to be doing a retro fit with HID projectors and dont want to hack up the back of the TYCs. Do they open up just like the OEM headlights? The material the TYCs are made of feels a little softer than the OEM headlight material, dont know if they will melt when placed in the oven? Thanks in advance for your help/comments.

It's been done before but I don't remember where the thread was. Search for a thread that involves audi a6 projectors in the TYC's.

Already searched. Pics are the only things that are posted, not much help in the DIY dept.
