just buy a stock hood off ebay and wrap it in carbon fiber looking sticky paper.

has anyone done this?
would wrapping an OEM hood with carbon fiber be considered rice? even though I dont really care for the "light weight" of it, and just like the styling?

lol

i got a body kits nw hood and the quality is great! go to www.groupbuycenter.com and look for bodykits nw under vendors. it fits perfectly, and comes with the holes you need. very strong latch too. it doesnt shake or flap around like other hoods when going high speeds. it fits like OEM and is as tight if not tighter than OEM, so no need for pins. heres my hood:

I hate the look of the cf hoods... it looks like you were in an accident and got a hood that doesn't match in color from the junk yard...
I understand if you're going for the weight difference though... but whatever, everyone's got their own taste. I'd get one with a scoop or vent at least, this way it doesn't just look like on OEM hood from the junk yard.
btw, do they make other cf parts? Can you for example get cf fenders and doors and what not, then you can make the whole car out of cf... lol. never mind, it probably wouldn't pass safty

wait, you hate the way CF looks, yet you want to put fenders, body kit, etc made out of cf on your car?

Don't be a hypocrite.

The answer to your question is yes, Fiber Images made a 7thgen that was total Carbon Fiber.

You can get all of those CF parts here:

Yea, the line is ok. But what I really like about Kaminari is the quality of the hood and that there isn't that stupid front molding piece on it.

my friend has a VIS hood, the CF is flaking.

plus, i know the quality of VIS products. like the bodykits?....one in a dozen fits perfect, the rest have minor gaps, or huge defects...its a gamble.

ummm.....you probably could get Kazell to make you one. But be warned. He will charge you out the a$$ for it. I can't believe he is charging $165 for a CF overlayed gas door. That's total BS. Its not even all CF for the weight loss and he wants to charge that much for it? It only costs him $20 max to make that part. He would sell so much more if he lowered his price to something like $75.

LoL he even flamed Samari when Samari posted his carbon fiber accomplishment! Kazzell probably thought he was gonna have some competition that wasn't gonna tear economic consumers like us new asses.

VIS Carbon Hood

Does anyone think $200 is too much for a VIS OEM Carbon Hood? How much did you guys pay for your FI and Kaminari hoods?

Cheers,
ChiZX

FI and Kaminari go for 500-900.

VIS goes for 320-400

So paying $200 for a VIS hood isn't bad then? I just hope it fits from all the other posts I've been reading. I guess I can always sell it on eBay if I don't like it.

Thanks,
ChiZX
