I dunno if this has been covered before, if it has then mods lock this...
I also don't know if this is in the right forum... if its the wrong one, mods move this...
Well anyways, i was cleaning the filter on my injen sri with a k&n recharger kit when i noticed a small bracket that once held the stock intake resonator box in place...
it kinda bugged me that it was sticking out and was bright gold so i removed it... jus thought i would share cuz i noticed a lot of people still have this there and it looks really out of place...
it doesn't seem to have affected anything so i guess i'm one step closer to having a "cleaner" looking engine...

ya ive seen that.. well that kinda saved my *** once too.. cuz wen i put the injen cai on.. i didnt remove that.. and months later i was installin aem pulleys.. and my friend juss broke the head of the bolt and we were like.. shiittt... then i see that thing and juss take the bolt off.. and ya.. the engine looks better without it

maybe your CAI piping conceals it or AEM included the removal of that piece in their installation instructions?

anyways, with my ghetto race division rsx intake on a d-serie engine, i use that little bracket to kinda hold the headshield on the injen intake so the intake won't even move one bit if i pull hard on it.
you'll be surprise how those little things help with ghetto setups
