2006 civic. Strong burning plastic smell and rattle
My 2006 civic has a really strong burning plastic smell coming from the pulley area and a rattling when its idle, from the area too. Just had the serpentine belt changed because of a screeching noise, now this. First it was the rattle then the next day a burning smell with the rattle. What could be the issue and can i get away with using it to just go to work for one day before bringing it in?

Could be a pulley that is not spinning freely. Try to isolate and find the source of the noise. Pull the belt off and spin the pulleys by hand.
