Rep Power: 0 2006 civic a lot of problems
Hi,
My 2006 Honda Civic's battery got discharged. Someone tried helping me by starting it using a jumper cable. He attached it ++ and -- but it still wouldnt start, I could get the dash board to light up but the car wouldnt start. It just clicked and the dash board lights flickering.
Then an idiot tried to + to - and - to ground.
The car now wont shift out of park, the dash board lights wont start if you twist the key, but the horn worked for a while and the hazard lights. Now it's just basically dead.
HELP PLEASE!!!

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Still gotta figure out if the battery was run down because something in the car was left on or drained it and now it needs charged up again, or if the battery is just bad.

Idiot probably blew the biggest fuse in the box. I'd check with a test light or DVOM real quick to confirm it, then replace it if it's open.
PLUS you still have a dead battery to deal with.
It's the thing held in with screws labeled #1 in this pic
