New To Civic Valve Adjust ?
06 Civic SOHV 177k miles new to us making quite a loud valve ticking when cold for about a minute. Oil just changed and full.
I see the plastic cover over wires with two 1/4 turn screws but behind (closer to firewall and harder to see) )that looks like another plastic part. What it that and how to remove enough to get to valve cover? Remove the coils?
I looks like I need to removed three cables from alternator to swing out of the way. Is that correct?
Do I need a replacement gasket or any other parts?
I have scoured the net and can't find any vids showing a 8'th gen SOHV disassembly to get to valves. Any out there?
Any detailed steps to get to the valves. I know what to do once I get there.
