Rep Power: 0 2008 vibration 900rpm to 2200rpm
Well I have read a lot on this issue, many posts saying motor mounts and such. Being a machinist myself (not an expert Honda mechanic),I have checked these mounts myself and carried to a local shop for them to look at it and see what they thought this vibration is. We both agree they do not seem to be bad =, no visible cracks or a lot of play while shifting from park to drive gears. I put a little pressure on the engine to seem how much movement was in the mounts and it does move a little but doesn't seem to be more than normal. I also don't think its contacting metal either. Just above idle it starts and just as it breaks 2000 rpms it goes away. the mechanic at the shop thought it might be the catalytic converter, but this doesn't seem logical as to the higher rpm it should get worse? More air greater back pressure ? and we also put the code reader on it and it doesn't show any codes ............. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Vibration goes away in reverse?
Sounds like a fart can muffler on it?
Engine mount, passengers side.
This is the only mount I have had to replace since these cars came out.
You might find where it has separated once you get it all apart.

Collapsed mount
New mount
Someone leaving the oil cap off the engine makes an unusual noise too.
