Rep Power: 0 Passenger Seat is Stuck
I have an 06 Civic. I bought it used a year and a half ago. The Passenger side seat is stuck in its position. It is too far up. I can't move it back or forward at all. I took it in to the dealership and they said the problem is with the track. They recommend a new right front seat weight sensor/adjuster. They are asking for quite a bit of money for this. Is there a cheaper way around this , or a way of getting the parts for less money?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: Passenger Seat is Stuck
Pull the seat off the floor (4 bolts -- 14mm socket, and some wires) take seat out, flip it upside down, see what's wrong with it.
There really isn't a lot to go wrong with it and I see very few issues with them. Maybe a coin got jammed in a track.
If you have to buy a track that contains a weight sensor, the seat must be calibrated by the dealer after assembly (it's all airbag related stuff in that seat).
