AC problems!!

AC problems!!
My 2007 civic 4 cyl. (60k miles)sedan's air conditioning stopped working. The shop guy says the compressor is not building enogh head pressure. Compressor replacement without warranty $800 or complete sysyem with warranty $2000!! Says system cannot be flushed so has to replace everything.
What should I do? Do the whole thing? Take it to the dealer? Civic has poor quality AC SYSTEM. My 97 Accord AC still works like a champ.
Any use calling HONDA?
