2012 honda civic battery

I just bought a 2012 honda civic, and my battery has died twice. Both times was when I turned off the car, turn on the emergency lights for about 5-10 mins while I waited for someone. Then when I tried to turn on my car the battery wouldn't start. I would then jump start it. Both times I didn't turn off the stock stero, could this be the issue?

Re: 2012 honda civic battery

It does not take long to run down a perfectly good battery, especially if you leave the ignition keyed on.

"Ran down" does not mean it is "bad".

Swing by your dealer and have the battery tested. If it fails the test, it's covered under the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty (USA).
If it passes the test, then we will assume you ran it down and that's your own fault.
