06 Exhaust silliness

Car suddenly got louder. Checking under the car the muffler is loose. Typical. It broke at the flange that are bolted together by spring bolts.

I typically just weld these back together since they commonly break even with good metal left in them. However in Honda's infinite wisdom they decided to make JUST the flange out of stainless! You just cant weld that with oxy-acetylene! I thought I could find a generic flange in muffler land but nobody had any, but one guy had a good idea: Saw off the flange on the other end and just couple it together with an adapter. Easily done. Car fixed.

I was annoyed that Honda thought it would be better to use stainless for the flange, but that metal BROKE!

Oh well time to fix other stuff.
