Transmission popping out of gear

i recently just replaced the mainshaft bearing on my 2005 civic ex. when i put everything back together i think i tightened the shift fork detent bolts down waaay to tight and the ball bearings are stuck inside the bolt..would this cause it to keep popping out of gear..its okay in 1st and 2nd..but 3rd and 4th will pop out? how tight should they be when i replace them?

Re: Transmission popping out of gear

Well more play from them being overtightened can def be a possibility, as for a torque spec I imagine it will be in inch/lbs and will be found in any decent manual
