TW: Alpine PDX-Series Class D amps
READ THIS ENTIRE POST BEFORE POSTING IN THIS THREAD
Alright, I'm thinking about revamping my system yet again, for space saving considerations, but before I do, I need to see if there's an interest for my old amps (hence the TW, or "testing waters" for you that don't know). I'll explain after I post the specs of my amps. Keep in mind, these specs are off the top of my head. I'll post the stuff you NEED to know for these amps, and you can google the rest if you feel like it.
Alpine PDX-4.100
Class-D 4-channel amplifier
100W @ 2 OR 4 ohms (self regulating)
Alpine PDX-1.600
Class-D Monoblock
600W @ 2 OR 4 ohms (again, self regulating)
I'm pretty sure this is the correct footprint of them
10-1/8''W x 2-13/32''H x 7-35/64D
They both share the same footprint, and are stackable. Both are hella tiny, and create no noticeable heat.
The reason I'm thinking about ditching these 2 is because 1)The monoblock puts out too much power for my sub, so I have it turned down quite a bit and 2)Alpine's PDX-5, even though I'll get 25W less to my fronts and rears, I'll still get 300W to my sub, which is in JL's optimum range for the subwoofer. That, and I'll save a bit of space by changing to a single amp.
Again, gauging interest in these amps so I can justify spending $650 on a single amp. Both of these amps retailed at $500 a piece (and I paid MSRP for them), and I'd probably be looking to get $350-400 OBO a piece for them. I've had them in my car since.. November 2009, I wanna say, and they were bought new from Best Buy and a local audio store, respectively (4-channel then mono). I'm really just looking to get enough to cover the cost of the new amp and maybe shipping

I bid......
$1 for both, shipping included
OBO- means or best offer
Honestly, If your lucky if you get $300 a peice,
I can easily get a JL 500/1, or a TMA 500.1 for $200 a pop
Free bump though :P

Re: TW: Alpine PDX-Series Class D amps
I might be interested in your Class-D monoblock. Running a 5-channel currently to run 4 speakers and a sub, and I think I'd really like a monoblock dedicated to running my sub. I'd take the other amp too but I think I'd be looking at an AB amp to power my speakers instead (less efficient..yes, but better overall SQ). I'm a little tight on cash, but right now the newer version of the PDX is the M6 which is currently going for 500$ on Crutchfield, and Sonic has a Marine version of the PDX going for 300$ brand new. In addition, I will have to invest in a capacitor. Given all of this, I will offer 250$.

The amps aren't actually up for sale just yet. I'm just gauging interest in them to justify changing my setup
