Ground Control Camber Plates - Very Good Condition

I am in the process of moving and found these way back in the garage. Intalled them and then found that they do not have enough adjustment for what I wanted (lots of neg. camber!) So I took them off and am now running Hotchkis plates. Ground controls web site - http://www.ground-control-store.com/...p/II=154/CA=97 . Asking $100 shipped. Send me offers. I am on the central coast of california - San Luis Obispo. Dont have the instructions, but I still have the original box they came in.

Re: Ground Control Camber Plates - Very Good Condition

decent "set and forget" camber plates, also adds slight bit of positive caster, free bump

Re: Ground Control Camber Plates - Very Good Condition

For the front. Instead of using the eccentric "crash bolts" these are a way better alternative. They go on the upper shock towers, you can see them under the hood.

Yes. You adjust the camber using the bolts. However, unlike usual camber plates, GC designed these so you adjust camber BELOW the strut tower. Like was said, once you set it, it holds camber better than camber bolts, but they aren't as good as usual camber plates.

Re: Ground Control Camber Plates - Very Good Condition

Installation depends on your current shock/spring setup. These replace the top of the struts, so if you have a stock replacement spring that you would need a spring compressor for, then you will have to do more work than if you have a sleeved coilover setup (like ground controls) where the spring is not loaded against the top plate at droop.

Re: Ground Control Camber Plates - Very Good Condition

Allright, I dont know what FTMFL is an acronym for, but these are for the front of the car. More front camber = more turn better. When your car body rolls in a corner, the tires roll also, the more negative camber your car has, the flatter the contact patch becomes relative to the road during hard cornering. I run about 3degrees negative in front and about 1.75 negative in the rear. This differential also helps limit understeer, especially during turn in. As far as tires go, I usually smoke them every 5-10 thousand miles, depending on which ones I am running at the time (right now Toyo T1Rs in 225/45R16 make me happy for day to day use!)
