Parting out my 2001 Civic HX
Re: Parting out my 2001 Civic HX
To Buds302,
I couldn't remove it. I tried several times but I couldn't. I'll wait until my mechanic friend will come but, the problem is, I don't know when it will happen.

To SSMCivic2k5,
As I told, I couldn't remove it myself and I don't have tools you've mentioned. I can't take it anywhere cuz I can't tow the car or if I'll remove the whole thing (if I'll be able to do that) and take it like that it won't fit in my car. So I kinda don't see any other options. I'll give it one more try on thanksgiving brake because right now I'm busy with my exams. Sorry

Did this have factory keyless entry?
IF so, How Much for the control unit and the wiring harness from it to the fuse block on the drivers side under the dash?

Re: Parting out my 2001 Civic HX

-front drivers seatbelt with sensors, 2 piece unit in black (not blown)
-windshield washer motor pump
-fuel door
-front hood molding (sits right above grill, small peice)
-wire clips/harnesses for front drivers side area (just cut and send all wires and i will use what i need)

Re: Parting out my 2001 Civic HX
Interested in the center part of the dash. The area with the radio, climate controls, storage area, recirculate, a/c, and rear defog buttons, etc. The entire unit.
I think it comes out with 2 or 3 bolts (9mm if I remember) below from the bottom up they are accessible through the panel where the 12v multiuse power plug is (looking up). Then I believe the unit is just clipped in, I remember it taking some force to remove. Not prying and he-man force, but some firm pulling to get the clips to release. Double check this by finding the DIY headunit removal.
When I removed mine I scratched it and some how messed up the accessory lights on the recirc, and a/c buttons, so I figure it would be easier to replace it and do it right.
Let me know, thanks!
