FS: "Testing" JL 1000/1 Amp
just testing waters to see if theres any interest in this amp. if theres enough interest, ill sell it. i also have 4 8w7's for sale in another thread. if you want it all, ill make you a deal. asking 800 shipped firm on the amp. its about 6 months old and only has maybe 10 hours of use. i rarely drove my truck so it barely got used.

Re: FS: "Testing" JL 1000/1 Amp
well just look at the amp in your sig for sale. a "1500" watt amp rated at 500 rms? this one is 1000 rms and 1000 peak. youre going to be consistantly running 1000 watts and its stable to as low as 1.5 ohms. with quality amps, the theory is $1 per watt. this amp retailed at like 999.99. 800 shipped is a good deal. this amp owns. i had it pushin the 4 8w7's and it ****in pounds. by far the best amp ive ever owned which is why this is just a testing thread. if someone out there knows quality and wants it, i might sell it. otherwise ill keep it in my collection if i ever need it.

Yeah I know, I wasn't trying to say anything bad but man, if I had the money I'd do the system right. I was looking into getting some JL w7s. either 10" or 12". When you said you used it to push your 4 8w7's did you just cram all 4 in there? And doesn't that split the power by 4? so basically 250 per sub? If so wouldn't that mean your under powering your subs?
Any good luck on sale. BUMP for AWESOME AMP!!

Re: FS: "Testing" JL 1000/1 Amp
what do you mean "cram all 4 in there"? yeah they were runnin 250/sub. the subs rms is 300 or 350 so they werent very underpowered. and trust me, it really didnt matter because they will **** your dick in the dirt on 250. theres no need in feeding a sub every watt it can handle. the w7's can handle more than their rated wattage, but when you spend that kind of cash for subs, its best not to push your luck. i was very satisfied with the setup.
