Rep Power: 276 2x 36GB Western Digital Raptor HDDs 10k RPM
I’ve had these in a RAID-0 setup for about 2 years and now I’m going to be upgrading to the 150GB Raptors so I won’t need these anymore. They work perfectly and are the fastest series of hard drives that you can get. Western Digital actually took their enterprise SCSI hard drive mechanics and used them for the raptors so these are also VERY reliable hard drives. They are both still under warranty till 12/26/2008

Rep Power: 267 are they IDE, SATA, or SATA2?
That will be a smokin setup in RAID 0!!!! i'd love to have some 15K RPM SCSI's running RAID 0 at Ultra320, but by the time you buy 2 drives and a controller capable of that RAID, you're looking at close to $1000!

Rep Power: 276 They are SATA.. I keep waiting for a company to bring out an all out performance 15k rpm desktop drive. Cooling is probably the issue tho They will have morons putting them in their compaq comps with no fans.

Rep Power: 276 ive had mine along with 2 80gb maxtor hdds all stacked in a coolermaster case with 2 80mm fans blowing directly over them they never got any warmer then just warm to the touch. It probably helps that the design of this case keeps some space between the drives for air to flow. Its really my favorite case ever...
