Garmin Streetpilot 2610 for sale w/1GB CF card
I posted it on ebay last night, and already got a bid so I can't close it early... But I would like show everyone here, and hopefully get more exposure to my auction. If you are looking for a GPS like this, you won't be dissapointed with this one. I take good care of my things!
SupaCivic saw it a few nights ago, and if some other Chicago local wants to see a demo of it before bidding, I'd be glad to meet up and show you how it works. You can also make a pick up in person if you purchase it rather than shipping (if you want).
Basic stats:
1) Garmin Streetpilot 2610
1) wireless remote
1) all original software & map discs
1) car power adapter w/speaker
1) home power adapter
1) USB connection cable
1) car beanbag/sticky mount
This GPS does not need to be tapped into your cars speed sensor, so all you gotta do is plug in the power cable to your cigarette lighter and you're set. You program in your destination (either an address, city or intersection) and the GPS will guide you directly to the location. It shows you a map on the screen and also constantly updates your speed, ETA, miles left on this trip ect. It also speaks to you anytime you need to make a turn. First it warns you that a turn is coming in .5 miles on the right (for example) then when you get there it tells you again TURN RIGHT and the display will read the street name. The GPS does not speak street names, it only prints them on the screen.. I guess they didn't want to worry about saying names the correct way.
The best part about it is how it finds points of interest wherever you are at. It knows all the local establishments, like food, gas, service stations, police, national parks, all kinds of neat stuff. Each POI will show you the distance from wherever you are at, the driving time, address and phone number. It's GREAT for when you're in an unfamiliar area, especially at night. Gas, food and hotels are the best part about it. Pull over, do a quick search and you'll know all the spots in the area you're currently in.. you can call them on your cell from the numbers the GPS gives you, then navigate directly to which ever you wanna go to.
