02 Civic LX

Alright, my buddy is selling his 2002 LX Civic Coupe with 25k miles. It is still under warranty.

This is a perfect car for a high schooler. 1.7L SOHC w/ 5 speed manual tranny. Black exterior with limo tint and 17x7 Konig Blatant rims on Kuhmo rubber. Lowered about 1" in front and rear. The engine is bone stock with a cold air intake. No exhaust mods.

The beauty is in the system. Everything was professionally installed. The head unit is an Eclipse 8340. The front speakers are Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 components powered by a Kenwood 75x2 RMS amp. The rear speakers are Infinity Kappa 6x9 speakers powered by a Kenwood 125x2 RMS amp. The Subs are 3 Infinity Perfect 12" in a sealed box powered by an MTX 6500D amp pushing 1100 RMS to the subs. The system hit 142.2 dB as measured by tweeter. It also has a Rockford Fosgate 1 Farad Capacitor.

The car also has a 7" screen mounted in front of the shifter which is wired to a dvd player in the back.

The car is a true gem inside and out. Real sharp car.

Pics can be provided upon request. Email me at srl264@mail.utexas.edu for more info.

There's no way you will be getting 16,000 for an lx thats 2 years old, just a word of advice! Lower the price, you may get better results. Take it easy.

Well, considering it has about 6-7k invested into it and KBB rates it around 12k... i thought getting half back on parts would be reasonable, all things considered.

THX for the input though.

Rims: 1000
Intake: 200
3 Infinity Perfect Subs: 750
Infinity Perfect Conponents: 400
Kappa 3-way 6x9s: 250
Kenwood Amps: 400
MTX Amp: 500
Capacitor: 150
Wiring: 400
Screen: 200
Tint: 200
Lowering Springs: ??
Install: ??
---------------
There was alot of money spent on this car, so i thought 16k was reasonable... I guess I might have to lower it a bit.

A car's value can't be increased by additional accessories. So the rims, engine mod, and stereo add nothing to the value. Sell those parts by themselves and get the money out of that. Oh and 14,500 FIRM?!?!?!? I drove my 02 Civic LX off the lot with zero miles for 14,000 out the the door. Good luck gettin 14,500. I'd buy a brand new 04 for that price.

Not to a dealer or KBB, but to a buyer it does. Would you buy a car with nasty rims? Would you pay a few hundred for some nice rims on a car... yea i think you would.

I see it alot like buying a house with a finished basement. It doesnt add square footage to the house because the basement isnt counted, but you sure as heck take it into consideration when you buy a house.

Buying a house is in a completely different field than buying a car. Home improvements add value to the property, because over time the property value increases where as a cars value diminishes. And a house with a finished basement is included in the square footage. At any rate, your price is ridiculous and I feel sorry for the moron that pays the money for your friends car.

I know what your trying to say but putting on aftermarket products won't always help you in selling your car for the price you paid for it! I know I paid around 16,900 for mine brand new and an lx is cheaper than an EX so that's why I said you might be asking to much.

14,500 is a better price but I think it's still a little on the high side, anyways good luck and I will stop buggin ya thread
