Im not really sure if tey fit on your civics but I figured I'd give it a whirl,
I have Stock 2003 SI Brakes and suspension with 19,000 miles on them for sale.
I crashed my car and the FD cut my top off, so now Im parting out the car and selling it.

Rep Power: 0 if you guys convert to rear disc, you may wanna order a proportioning valve, or you will have negative afects, i.e. rear squatting under braking, and rear lockup

Rep Power: 357 1. its been determined that the Si and non Si civics use the same proportioning valve, same part # for both
2. Your not actually gaining brakeing power, but rather better thermal properties, and also as you get stickier tires you will actually want less rear braking power as more weight is going to be transfered to the front under hard braking, meaning the rear tires will have less traction. so if braking power is increaced or remained the same (on the back) then the rear tires would be more likely to lock up during hard braking = Very bad things (You allways want the front to lock before the rear)

#1 would be a moot point if you gained braking power by switching to rear discs, meaning, if you WOULD gain rear braking power what i said would be correct, however if you dont gain any braking power, then the proportions dont matter.
#2 the last part is similar to what i said, but something to keep in mind nonetheless

the second part was in regard to the sellers claim of lots more braking power.

Rep Power: 379 i think there is some better braking.. remember even if your car squats forward, the rear brakes still work, the si rear brakes are considerably smaller than the fronts, i have had them on my car for a while and i have not had any negative effects, my braking feels alot more stable and a little bit more firmer, when i brake very hard my front tires stop very welll and because i have ABS, our 3 stage system takes over. the front left and front right are independent from each other and the rear two work together. my rear discs work fine with the ABS system and was a compleate bolt on.
when the front locks up the aintilock works very good. i actually was recently cut off and i had to menuver(sp?), well my rear spun, but when i applied the brakes my car straighted up very fast. if my rear brakes did not have antilock i would have locked up all my tires and probably go into a spin. my car straighted out very good.
because of my parada spec 2 and rear brakes i have had very good grip on the road, i have not yet needed to slam on my brakes because when i push on them pretty hard, everything in my car flys to the front. but when i brake i WILL stop on a dime.
it also looks nicer, and the pads are eaiser to change.

Rep Power: 357 ^^ when you changed your back brakes did you also change tires or pad compounds? cause thats where your extra braking power would be coming from.
I did a little reaserch on the Civic and the Sis 60-0 distances. these were the best for both....
Civic EX coupe
60-0.....127 Ft
Civic Si
60-0.....129
the worst, the EX got a 145 and the Si found a 131, so there are some vairables here.
Point Im making here is that even though the EX has drum brakes in the back it can stop just as quickly as an Si... But the Sis disc brakes are better sutied to high performance due to their better thermal chariteristics.

Rep Power: 379 well when i changed them i had stockies on with kumho touring 712, even with those i could feel them work better. i put on my center lines, and now because of the better tires, i stop alot better.

Im telling you that 60-0 on a stock SI is only based on the stock michelins on these cars and the fact that abs kicks in nonstop.
As soon asyou put a stickier set of tires on a new SI, you never hear the ABS going off again and the car stops on a dime, no joke.
You can jam the brakes to the floor from 120mph and stop faster than most cars from 60, just cant do it much b/c the oem pads start to heat up.

Rep Power: 0 Sorry the engine and tranny are staying with me. At least the engine block, I plan on taking the block, mating it to an A2 Head, Hondata to 8000rpms and the CTR Tranny because of the LSD and dropping that into 96-2000 Coupe. Im gonna drop DC5 everything in and hopefully have a nice sleeper which will kill most cars.

Rep Power: 0 Sorry about the lack of replies about the brakes but I havnt been around much and I usually just send PMs to whoever asked about it. So far I have a few interested parties and I think they are sold but I will still take PMs in case anything falls through.

Rep Power: 282 Actually, the drums only use about 800 psi to work, disc use about 1200, so the rear proportional valve on an EX is not the proper one. You would actually be getting less pressure to them, so they would not work properly, they would not likely lock up, since they are getting less pressure.
