Here it is. The front bumper got caught and dragged under the car, so it's messed up, but the engine and all is ok.

Yeah, I'll cry about it for a while. It sucks, but ultimately it's a car. I can't replace my brother.
Let me repeat that we do not have the storage to allow us to part this out.
Someone has to buy the whole thing and tow it. If the back hub were not broken, it could be driven, but the car does indeed have a slight U bend in the frame.
Engine swap is about 4k with ecu and all parts, so we figure 5k for the whole car. Front airbags are ok, so is the steering wheel. Seats appear to be ok, but side bag went off. We need a downpayment for another car. Well, he went from a civic (now mine) to the RSX, back to a civic.
Hard lesson learned.
Anyway, we need this gone. Title is here, since it was paid for. People, if anyone thinks about not getting full insurance, DON'T do it. It CAN happen to you. Don't get hosed.

I'm in baldwin hills, not far from LAX for reference.
Guys, please READ, I CANNOT store this car! So it follows I cannot take payments. COD only. I cannot leave a car on the street in this neigborhood, and the garage is not an option. The car is 6 months old, and the experience cost us 28K altogether. Down the toilet. For us, Life and most importantly WORK goes on. We have to get a new car within a week or so.
Sitting around, and parting stuff out is simply not possible. I'll put this in the recycler as well. What's done is done. We have to keep working.
If someone serious wants to come by with a mechanic to look it over, that's fine. But please don't waste my time. One way or the other, it has to go. I have little choice in the matter.

Are the JIC coilovers messed up? I'm interested in just the extra parts like the spring perches, springs, and stuff if that's possible.
And the headlights, other stuff that may be salvagable. If that's alright w/ you let me know. I'm willing to drive over and take off the parts myself.

Yeah, well, I have no usable garage, or storage area. So anyone that can buy this and strip it out for the parts can probably recoup a decent chunk on the deal. In the meantime, my brother has settled on an 04 accord coupe. He also promised to slow down.
I know 5k is not pocket change, but it is realistically worth that in the parts, probably more if picked clean. So if anyone within towable range is really interested, just PM me. The engine starts right up, and nothing leaks at all. The AC condensor got a scrape, but I doubt it's busted. Not that it matters. I don't want ANY part of it. It would just remind me everytime I drive my car. If I ever do a swap, I'd rather not know the history of the engine/parts. Imagine how my brother feels right now. He gambled with insurance, and lost. He did say he will keep a picture of the broken car to remind him not to be stupid. Well, he is where I was at his age. I won't lecture him, because I did the same thing.

BTW, a V6 Accord 6spd coupe costs HALF the insurance than the RSX. This really sucks, since the Accord is a more powerful car. Why are we getting so hosed in LA? Even the RX8 is less... Damn, California sucks.

I am sorry, what exactly in the title and my writings are so hard to read?
Let me say this again. PLEASE READ THIS. We bought the RSX-S on 6/20/03. New off the truck with 7 miles on it. We refinanced the house, and took enough out to buy the car CASH. My brother later found out it would cost HIM $6000 a year to fully insure it. He only put liability on it despite urgings to fully insure it. He just spent 24K! Well, he never did up the coverage, and took his chances. He basically commutes to work and back every day. Period. What could happen? Friday he was late for work, so he tried to rush out of the house and make time. He got just about to work, but was very tired. A truck pulled out of a driveway, and he just saw it (half asleep) and swerved to avoid it. He over-corrected, hit the curb with the front wheel which made him spin on the loose sand in the construction zone. He spun around, hit a tree, and spun again through a fence. So there it is. No one got hurt, and he never hit anyone. Just trashed his baby. The law of averages caught up with him. Without full insurance, he cannot get the car replaced. Fixing it is not an option. He needs a car to work. Simple as that. The RSX is bent, and I doubt that the body is reasonably fixable. Even if it is, it would never be the same, and he no longer wants to drive it. He leased an 04 Accord today. The insurance is MUCH lower, and he can make the payments on that. He also will keep a picture of the RSX with him to remind him of how stupid he was. Anyway, that's the story. The pinkslip is here, in his name. 5K cash or certified funds takes it and the title. Someone else can fix or most likely strip the car. We just can't. It HAS to go. NO STORAGE!!!!! In my neighborhood it cannot stay NON-OP on the street.
Those are the rules here. A car must be moved at least 1 mile every 48 hours. We also all work, so there is no time to strip a car. You guys think about it. Serious offers only. If I had a lot someplace, I could entertain other options, but I don't. I also do NOT have a garage, so you see my problem. It's a big headache we don't need. Another large BILL we don't need either. It was nice to have a paid off car.
Don't make the same dumb mistake.

Well, looks like we are getting the Accord EX-L Navi. Sweeet! Of course, the blue one has to be trucked to southern california for us. Why are some colors so hard to get?
Took a look at the RSX again, it looks like the JIC coilovers are still OK.
Paid 2k for those, btw. I don't remember If I had mentioned that before.
So... any potential takers? Good engine and tranny, good front airbags... only the drivers seat bag went off. Seats seem ok, JIC's appear undamaged, 2 of the rims are still clean, 1 is dented but fixable, 1 has a little curb rash. He paid about 3k for the rims and tires. I think 1 tire is either blown, or it got pushed off the bead and went flat.
Anyway, anyone interested, looking is free. Check it out and see for yourself. No one is trying to rip anyone off here. Anyone REALLY serious, can always talk to my brother about price.
Wrecked but supposedly "rebuildable" RSX's go on ebay for 9k, buy it now. I saw a few, and I have my doubts about how rebuildable they really are. I still do not believe that a damaged frame is a good idea to bend back in shape, but that does not stop some people.
Someone come get this thing out of here. BTW, full service manual is included, title is clean for those who don't want a salvage. I don't even want to know, if you can get this car fixed.

Yeah, that would work.....
I know that 5grand is a lot of money for most folks on here, (myself included) But I don't trust payments. Unless I can store the car until paid for. I just want to be sure I actually GET paid....
My bro is out 30K on this. Well, I'm sure some of you can relate.
Life goes on.

Yeah... But no place to part it here. It would cost a couple hundred to truck it, though. I may still have it for a while. No one has money right now, myself included.
