just checking....
With all the snow around here and complaints from my family I have realized I need to go from a 2 dr modified sport compact to a 4 door all wheel drive car. I was planning on trading in the vic for either a wrx or an evolution but I doubt I will have enough for the evolution. Kelly Blue Book gave me a low trade in value because I guess the ex's dont keep their value like my old si did and also I wouldn't get any money for the modifications. So I was thinking about seeing if anyone here would be interested or possibly ebay. I wasn't sure what kind of price to expect for private party selling. I have a 2003 SSM EX Cpe with 8,000mi. aem sri, dcs stainless 4-1, hks-a downpipe, tanabe srm, dcs short shift, neuspeed front upper tie bar, cusco upper rear tie bar, tanabe sustec underbody brace, grounding kit, and I even have a brand new bodykit that hasn't been painted, still in the same condition as it was when I got it that I will throw in for the buyer. What kind of price can I expect to get? And would anyone on here be interested or would it be a better idea to go on ebay?

and wow even KBB said i can expect 14,795 for it as a trade in, i'd think i could get more on ebay from some kid who just got his license and wants a fast and furious car lol, if i just list the mods even tho there aren't many and mention they get a free bodykit out of the deal i'd hope for possibly atleast 16 cause i paid 17 new and around 3-3500 in mods and the low mileage

I guess if i had to trade it in i would take off the strut tie bars and under brace and sell those and the bodykit but i dont have the stock exhaust header or intake anymore so i'd have to keep those on with the trade thats why i was just hopin to sell the whole car with everything still on it, with only 8k miles whoever buyin it would save money cause if u get a new vic thats atleast 17k plus like 3k in parts plus money for installation, etc... thats why i came here to see if anyone was interested cause its got such low mileage its practically new, i've seen civics on the lot at the local honda with 15k miles goin for only 1grand less than the new cost and i've got less miles and upgrades on it
whatever KBB says for a trade in value, subtract about 1,000-1,500. that is what you should expect for a trade in value. dealerships don't go by KBB, they go by Galves or the NADA guide to used cars. these two books give wholesale prices. you won't get more on a trade for aftermarket parts, it may even get you less. your best bet is to sell it privately. also, take all of your modifications off and sell them privately as well. good luck.
Fair warning . mods mean **** when it comes to resale value. If you want the most bang for your buck, sell the mods seperately and put the car back to stock. People on here will buy your mods, but don't expect to get more than 50-60% of what you paid for them.

Scrap the whole, Itll sell for a crap load on ebay thing too....people use ebay to SAVE money.....They dont want a bunch of overpriced crap, Ive seen really nice 7th gens go for next to nothing because its such a common car. Dont get me wrong I love my lil girl, and I'd only sell it to get a s2000(which isnt happening anytime soon) but you cant mix up $ value with emotional attachment.
