FS: Ebay "Racing" Super Intake
Bought this a couple of weeks ago off ebay. Works very well...especially for the price. Here is where I bought it from. Cost me $75 plus shipping. I'm asking $70 shipped, and thats indluding some modifications i've done to it. Out of the box, it doesnt fit really well, and the rod that holds the hood up didnt stay down, so I cut out a slot for it, and I bent the metal bracket so that it aligned with the hole so that it is secure. If you have any questions, please respond, PM me, or e-mail me. $70 shipped is the asking price, but please make any offers you feel fair. Thanks.
I'm also selling a stock rear sway bar. If you're interested, contact me.

me 2.....asking price dropped to $60 shipped. And thats not just what you'd buy on ebay; this has been modified so that it actually fits well. Also, I will help anyone who buys it through installation if they need it.

pretty easy. This was my first engine upgrade. You aren't really dealing with the engine much at all. The hardest parts are outlined in the AEM CAI intake DIY. Oh, and thanks for posting the price...jackass.
Price lowered to $50 shipped
j/k bout the jackass part, but its kind of counterproductive to post prices that hurt the sale. Not that anyones buying it, but still.

oh, and about "is it worth it," i say VERY! While it doesnt have gains like the FIPK, its definitely an improvement over stock, and you get a very racy sound, all for $50 shipped! The carbon fiber suction thing also looks pretty hot. I have pics in the "my ride" if you want to see it installed.

I think the one you're thinking about is just the SRI on ebay. This has the carbon fiber-look thing that sucks cold air. Anyways, please no more responses unless offers.

I'm very interested! What color are the boots & what about rain issues. With that design rian has to go right into there. Please be honest with your response. Also does it come with a filter? (i know there is one that is suppost to sit inside the snorkle)

boots? i suppose the rubber connecting parts? They're light blue. I have driven in rain several times, and noticed no problems. The intake doesnt suck from the grill, its more above and behind the grill; it sucks right behined the hood; i really dont know exactly where, but water has not created any problems for me. There's also a small hole in the bottom of the carbon fiber thing, so if any water gets in there it should drain right out. There is a filter. It's an angled cone filter inside the carbon shroud. If you took off the shroud, it would look like a SRI with a smaller filter than normal. You'll have to wait a few days to buy it, though. I just wrecked the car (its ok; the intake is not damaged!), so it'll be in the shop for a few days.

its the fake sticker stuff. But honestly it looks really good; hasn't faded or warped or anything. If you take the shroud apart, you can see that the CF is just wrapped on, but it still looks good. THere's a fairly close-up pic of it in the "my ride" section.

umm....im not sure about that last question. My car's at the shop, so I cant' look either. I'll check as soon as I can. When I first wanted to sell it, it was to buy a K&N FIPK for the increasd in power (not much). Now it's because I need money. My parents are probably going to make me pay for some of the damage, so I need to earn some money quick. It sounds great. There was just a thread titled "price to install intake" in some forum, where a guy bought this intake and asked a whole bunch of questions about it. In the end he really liked the sound and the gain (as minimal as all intake gains are).

A better idea; why don't you send me your payal address so I can send you a payment request; its a good policy to be sure you're sending it to the right place.
