Cigarette lighter stopped working (98 Civic)
Cigarette lighter stopped working (98 Civic)
My cigarette lighter socket stopped working today right after my 8 hour shift (delivery driver). I want to fix this asap but I'm not sure where to start. I downloaded the 96-00 service manual but I'm not sure which page is relevant. Any tips?
*I forgot to mention that I was using a four way splitter with my work phone and car dvr plugged in. I guess that may be the cause although I have been using that splitter for months without any issues.

Sorry I didn't know there were two fuse boxes so I was pretty confused
I'm pretty sure that the fuses I pulled out are blown. They all look filthy. I don't know which ones they are though but I'm thinking multiple blown fuses is a sign of a bigger problem.

Which fuse is for the power outlet? None of the diagrams that I keep finding are helping. I feel like I'm horrible at using google...
This is not mine btw. Just a random image I found that looks similar to mine

Filthy is not the same as blown.

I show it should be fuse 27 in the dash fusebox. 10 Amp

Oh I see the labeled numbers on above the fuses now
They are printed small and upside down so I guess that's why I didn't notice them. There is a 7.5 amp fuse in slot 27 so I'm going to change that right away and hope that fixes my problem.
