How much should i pay for used sub/amp

So one of my friends is selling a used MTX audio 12 or 10" sub with an amp (im not sure about the sub size, i didnt measure it, but it looks pretty big to me. im thinking its most likely 12"; im also gonna assume the amp is also in the budget-medium range)

the combo is about 5 yrs old and for the most part has been in storage for a while. the sub seems to be in pretty good shape, no damage on the woofer or the enclosure.

i was wondering what you guys thought would be a reasonable price to offer him? I was thinking somewhere in the 120-140 range for the combo.

thoughts?

i was also going to test it out for sure before i bought it

Sure, if hes ur friend and all, then about one twenty should be reasonable for a 5 yr old setup. It doesnt look like hes using it anyways, plus the more he keeps it the older it gets

You are asking for info without providing all of the needed info we need to estimate. The sub is probably worth $30 -$40 maybe. Box is worth about the same depending on what it is. Is it a plain sealed box? $20 Larger ported box? $30-$40. Plexi - More. The amp could vary in value from $20 to $500. Is it a Claifornia profile, MTX, Alpine, PPI, Fosgate, Sparkomatic? Lot of variables there.
