Sub orientation

Hey people, I was just wondering what kinds of sub orientation get you the best sound. My sub is 12" in a sealed enclosure for cleaner beats but I still want to orient it in my trunk to get the most out of every bit! Thanks.

Re: Sub orientation

I typically find you want to face the sub away from people. This gives the sound time to reverberate and doesn't sound so harsh (as sealed enclosures often do).

Firing up into your rear 6x9's probably isn't the best idea either. I'd suggest either facing out towards the back of the trunk (Which always looks nice too) or down firing, which won't look as cool but works nicely. Down firing also protects the subs if you put a lot of stuff in your trunk, since nothing would ever be pressing up against them.

Just my 2 cents.
