New Tires - Stock 04 EX Coupe - Best size for Summer Performance?

Hi guys. I am removing my winter tires, and need to buy a set of summer tires. Don't need all season. Want best MPG / Wear.

Anyhow, I think stock tires are 195/60 r15.

Should I stick with that size, or should I get something a little wider?

Any suggestions/input greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I would go with the widest tire you could fit on the rim. That would be best for handling. Might not find to many high mileage/mpg in a wide size though.

Ok, so there are no known rubbing issues?

I only have the stock alloy 15" rims, so I'm sure I can't go too wide, but maybe a little wider than the 195/60r15's that are on there now?

Thanks.

No known rubbing issues that I am aware of. I run a 205 on a 16 inch rim. Other people have 215's and there may even be a 225.

Here is a good calculator for calculating the dimensions:

If you went to a 215/55/15 it would keep your rolling diameter approximately the same.
