Broke and stuck wheel bearing

Her we go. I have a bad rear wheel bearing on a 96 honda civic. I removed old hub assembly and the inside Ring of wheel bearing stayed on shaft. How do I remove that ring?????. There's no way to grab it????

Re: Broke and stuck wheel bearing

I use a handheld cutoff wheel tool to make a slice in the race, then hit it with a cold chisel to crack it all the way through (you cannot cut the entire width with the cutoff wheel without harming the spindle). After you crack it with the chisel, it will slide right off.

Random GIS pics:

Or a Dremel, they have cutoff wheels too.

Make the slice in the stuck race, then whack it with the chisel:

Do NOT use cheapo cutoff wheels:

I use 3M discs on my cutoff tools.
