I got a flat and need t replace. I want different tires anyways, so I was looking to get two new tires of different size that waht I have. Any problems with that? First tire shop said they cant do it.

Current: 205/60R15

Possible new: 205/50R15

2 new now and another 2 new maybe two weeks from now.

You're taking .8" off your sidewall by doing that.. and like sam68 said, it'll throw your speedo off.. More specifically, it'll indicate you're going faster than you actually are (with your speedometer reading 60mph, you'd be actually traveling 56.1mph), and subsequently, your odometer would read more miles than actual.

Why would you wanna go with a smaller sidewall size? just wondering..

I have 205/45R17's and they look badass. 45 sidewall side is just perfect with 17's.

You should just buy some new rims instead of sticking with 15s. Personally, if you want a smaller sidewall size, you should get bigger rims, otherwise it will just look weird (50R15).

There is an advantage to having smaller rims. Good tires are cheaper for 15's than for 17's.
