New Civic! Maintenance???

I just bought an '01 Civic Coupe 4-cyl with 110,000 miles on it. I've driven it for a week and it drives great! I love it!!!! What I was wondering is, what maintenance should I do on it?

I don't know if the timing belt has been changed and am really doubting it has since I've read a lot don't change it until around that mileage.

What about filters? I know I'm gonna do sparks. Anything else? All recommendations are welcome! Just don't make me spend more than I need jeje

pick up one of those maint brochures from the dealer and look thru it to pick out the important stuff. depending how well the previous owner cared for it, you may have alot of fluid changes to do. i would start with power steering, brake, and coolant, then move on to transmission and maybe an oil change too. ngk or denso plugs, air filter (napa gold is good), do the timing belt/water pump/tensioner/oil seals job, maybe check the brakes too. i bet the rears are prolly on their way out and maybe the fronts too.

By water pump, do you mean change it? And do you kno how to change the steering and brake? Or do I just check it?

yes change the water pump. its a precaution because of how hard it is to change by itself if it goes bad. when the timing belt is off, its easy to swap in a new waterpump. the brake fluid is tricky, ive never done it and you have to bleed the system of air otherwise the brakes wont work. power steering, you can change most of it by unhooking the hose and draining the reservoir. then fill up with new fluid. if it still looks dark after driving around, repeat the process. use only honda brand fluids.
