So I'm getting new wheels this coming spring and i'm debating on what size i should get.

Wheels are Rota Torque and tires are falken ze-912. Here are the two options i'm looking at:

1) 16" x 7 with 205-50-16
2) 17" x 7.5 with 205-40-17

I drive a 2004 sedan and on coilovers so height could be adjusted. So which size would you guys think look better? Thanks.

Re: Dimension opinion

I've always been a big wheel person. Now a days wheels from the factory are coming in 17 and even 18 inch sizes! Which is cool and all, but to me, 16's just don't look like much of a rim. But that's just my opinion. I like a healthy 17 or 18. One thing you might want to think about is tire price. I think the 16 inchers are cheaper then the 17. Not sure though. I DO know that the 17 inch tire is cheaper then the 18 inch tire! Holy crap, I remember paying 100 bucks a tire for the 18's which isn't THAT bad, but damn, when you can pay like 65 bucks for a 17 inch tire! Anywho, the torques. Hm, those are the Work emotion CR Kai replicas, I think you should go with a 17, because it doesn't have a chrome/polished/stepped lip on it, so it's going to look smaller overall. another popular choice is those GT3's, which you could get a 16, because I think it'll look nicer with that stepped lip.

Re: Dimension opinion

thanks for the reply. The price for those two package is the same, thats why i have trouble deciding. I actually just came from 16 inch gt3 last year. I am looking for something without a lip this year. Thanks

Re: Dimension opinion

go 17's...the 16's look too little no matter how far you drop it. I had 16's before my 17's and I'd never go back even if someone offered me free rims and tires.
