**** it! my rims are bent!!

today going to work, i hit a pothole, a big one, and bent my rim and my tire's sidewall is pretty much ripped. i guess it's time for me to go back to my stockies. have to get new tires for the stockies... where can i throw my rims away? will the trashman just pick it up?

I would just throw one in per week in my recycle can haha. Well as long as they dont have tires on them.

You can usually get it repaired even if its cracked, or look for one wheel somewhere. Worst comes to worst, just put them on craigslist and try your luck. Someone may be in the same situation as you and need a spare, so you can make some $$. Also, you can sell the tires seperate. That or list them here for free and have someone pay shipping, dont just toss em. One man's trash is another man's treasure.

Just curious, what kinda wheel is it post a pic of the damage...I can tell you if its fixable or not.

One of my 17s is bent up pretty bad. I plan on taking it here eventually. I think they have a coupon in the back of Motor Trend.

If its aluminum then take it to a recycling shop for some $$$ to offset the cost of new wheels.
