05 DX SDN. rims & tires, need answers cont.

I asked about problems i my have installing rims &tires in my 05 civic dx sdn.and upon searching further i feel i didn't include enough info. i will revisit my question. the car is stock, rims i want are 16x7.5 w/40mm offset. the recomended tire size is 205/50-16. I want to keep the same ground clearance i now have w/ the stock 185/60-14s on it. i would like to install 225/50-16s [my 1st choice] or 215/50-16s. i just want to fill the wheel wells and dress it up a bit. i chose the 50 sidewall because i believe it will give me the same overall rim, tire dia. as the stock. what i am concerned about is the 225 or 215 width. can anyone who has made the same modification advise as to possible rubbing, how it might affect brakes and suspention or if this change would tax the 1.7ltr. motor. My tire choices are 1st the Kumho ecsta asx uhpas 225/50zr-16 or prehaps the General Altimax HP 225/50hp-16s. gtas as my driving style is to keep this car sharp and not abused. The car is in ex. condition in and out w/25000mi. eternal blue, theres not even dirt on it. I will only use this tire/rim combo in the spring/summer as winters here in N.E. Pa. can be rough! Any advise is welcome and thanks are in order......... UNCLERAY
