input on what tires to get...

I have searched and there really are not any recent threads about tires...

I currently have hankook ventus k104
215/40/18

I am in need of replacing all 4...
I want to know, what is a great tire these days?
toyo, bf good, falken, pirelli....what should I look at?
I live in florida, therefore I am not concerned about tires in snow!

Re: input on what tires to get...

I've got the Sumitomo HTRZ-2s and love em. Got them from Discount Tire about 8 months ago. Sticky, sticky and so far tread wear has been really good. Much quieter than my Nitto NT450s that had worn out. Then again, I really like the Nittos too. The Sumi's handle better in the rain though.

My final assessment. Tires=good.

Re: input on what tires to get...

I can't post a link because it's inside of a frame, but go to www.tires-easy.com input your size, then when you click on a tire, there's a link that says tyre-test results, click on that and it'll give you all of the ratings for traction stopping etc.

I think you should set a price range, from the personal experience I've had, you REALLY get what you pay for when it comes to tires. The higher end tires give you better performance...hands down. I've always heard good things from people around here about two different kinds: Toyo proxies, T1R and the Bridgestone potenzas. Price em up and see what you like.

Re: input on what tires to get...

I got neo gen,215/40 18 they are good. I also got them at discount tire.I wanted toyo proxies 4 but discount tire dont sell them. They too are good tires, and i like the tread pattern. I read alot of reviews at discount tire, and i think for the price and what peeps are saying about the tires i went with nitto. I had falken 452 and i didnt like them they felt like they didnt grip the road. I only had them for a month and got rid of them and got the neo gens.
