tire suggestion

I am currently running hankook k104 215/40/18

it is about time for new tires! can you guys tell me what is the tire to get these days. I don't want to cheap out on the most important part on my car. should I get the same tires again, or is there something better out there? I live in Florida so snow is not a problem....what do you guys prefer?

Re: tire suggestion

what are you looking for performance wise? More dry grip? Longer tire life? Better wet grip?

Re: tire suggestion

Wet/Dry Grip - Look at Toyo T1R and BF Goodrich KDW. Personally have tried the T1Rs, they last at least 15k if you keep the alignment good and rotate them. Haven't tried the KDW so I don't know.

Dry Grip - Look at the Azenis RT-615 or BF Goodrich KD. Personally have tried the Azenis look to get 10k MAX on these. Haven't tried the KD so I don't know.

Both the listed categories are more of high high performance tires therefore their treadwears are low and you'll get less than 20k for a set of tires. Good news is they are pretty cheap at least the T1R and Azenis are...BF Goodrich are expensive.

If your looking for something less, look at Ecsta MX by Kumho...they are pretty good grip and good price. You can also look at Hankook but I dunno which model is compareable. There is one model everyone says has dry grip comparable to the Azenis but wet grip is less.

If your look for just cheap tires look at the Ecsta AXS, they have high treadwear and are considered performance all season.

Hope all the info helps.
