Would 17.7 inch rims fit on a 03 civic?
I was looking from some good rims for my civic and came across 17.5 and 17.7. i'm wondering which of the two would be better for my ride. My ride is lowed 1.8 inchs.

the answer is yes. but how did you measure the rim? cuz a 17.7 sounds like it would be an 18, becasue you would round up.

I think you mean 17 x 7, and 17 x 7.5. The first number is the rims overall diameter, and the second number is the rims width, both measured in inches.
Yes is not the exact answer. You need the proper offset, and you need the proper bolt pattern. Plus tire size comes into play as well.

the difference in width would be 0.5 of an inch. Like I said it depends on the offset of the rim, and the bolt pattern has to match (4x100 bolt pattern for our cars). offset of +38 to +45 is usually good.
I'm not sure if you know what I mean by offset. If you don't know what it means, search google.

Don't be upset because I know the answers to the question on this thread, and you know nothing about it. Its easy to post a "yes" answer. You could be 50% wrong, or 50% right.
Don't reply to topics that you have no knowledge on. Please show me a 17.7 inch rim. I would like to see the link to that website. There are no 17.7 inch rims, you moron.
btw, how does it make me a ricer because I have a sig that you don't like??

both a 17x7 and 17x7.5 will work for your car. If you want to run a 215 or 225 width tire I would go with the 17x7.5. However, you can run 205 width tires on 17x7.5 if you want that size tire. I have a set of 17x7.5 5Zigen with 205 tires and the only issue i have is that the lip is more exposed than if I ran a 215 width tire. My next set of tires will be wider.
btw I am also lowered 1.75 inches on Eibach Sportlines

17 x5 you say. I was looking for some good black rims with a chrome lip. the only ones i found were the 17 x 7.7. the 215/45/17 would go well on a 17 x7.7?

Re: Would 17.7 inch rims fit on a 03 civic?
I dont think they will rub I have an 03' civic coupe with 18x7 1/2 225/40zr 18 tires and they dont rub. The only problem is that the back rims are kind of split. Anybody knows what I can do to fix that? its wearing the tires from the inside.
