Hello!

I am new here and I am also a "female" and have nooooo idea about cars. I hear that I need my transmission rebuilt which I believe is true because it is a 2004 and I hear a noise and I've already taken it to 2 places and they both say the same thing. They have quoted me about $1000 each. Is this a normal price for that service? or should I keep looking? If so, where should I go? I live in San Diego, CA.

Hi! I have the same issues with my 2001 civic. You can take it to your local AAMCO for free diagnostics. I took mine to them few days ago and it's just unfortunate that they have to do a transmission rebuild which costs a fortune. I am still waiting for them to call me on how much it would cost.
