yeah cloth ftw. leather stretches, gets too hot, gets too cold, stains easily, rips, etc.

OK, I determined that 07 RSX Leather seats do NOT fit in a 2009 8th gen Civic without modification to the rails. The seat lines up and even the seat belt buckle clicks intot the seat, but the rails on the 2009 Civic are 1.5" longer and 1" wider. If I was willing to drill new holes and tap them I could have made it work. I am going to try to find some 2008 - 2009 RSX seats to see if the rails are the same.

Installing RSX seats into an EM2 will fit with minor modifications.

Three of the mounting holes will align right with each seat. You can mount them into the cabin with these three only, or you can use a drill and make a new mount point. some people make extra metal flat pieces to create a new mount point.

The SRS light will NOT come on if you install them correctly. Disconnect the battery before install, and connect the proper seating cables.

I love the rsx seats, not the leather though. They are easy to install, and cheap to re-fabricate the materials.

yeah the rsx is not made anymore. so i guess youre kinda out of luck on this one. you can always get those real leather custom seat covers i think they make em for 06+ civic and then have a shop put them in professionally, but thats gonna cost quite a bit.

Re: Acura RSX-Type S Seats in my Civic

yea, leather is too hot in the summer and way freezing in the winter...nice in the spring and the fall tho, so its really hard for me to pick either leather or cloth. i currentloy have an LX 05 cloth interior (no civic 7th gen come with leather or am I wrong about that? ) (( i used to own a 1990 corolla up until december '09, so im not rly that up on Civs...ask me anything about an AE92 tho lol haha))
