Sorry guys, did this from my phone and didn't realize the picture didn't post. Should be here now.
I'm really just curious what someone could expect to get for a car like this. Dash is cracked, had a little driver side rear end damage (bondo is cracking) above the fender. Won't pass smog, has some kind of Weber carburator on it, etc... But for the most part pretty straight, fairly clean.

Thanks for the response, yes, I've kind of looked everywhere. Some for $6000 down to $800. Not sure where the realistic line can be drawn. I have this guy wanting, now, to sell me also a 1979 Honda Civic wagon as well. Both for $700, and the wagon is in better shape than the hatchback, no dings even, just some interior issues and a non-running engine at the moment. Not sure whether to jump on that deal or not. Not sure how I could lose money, but this is California, smogging would obviously be and issue for anyone actually wanting to commute in them.

both for $700 seems like a good deal to me, worse comes to worse sell them to someone out of state where they don't need to be smogged.

I'm thinking so, or else I'll have a pissed off wife on my hands, LOL. She's like "you better be able to do something with them and not just have them sit there!". Meanwhile I'm chomping at the bit because he just told me on Sunday $500 for the hatchback, now $700 for both. I didn't think the wagon was even for sale. That's nuts because the wagon I believe would be worth more, way cool, and in better condition. That's the car I would buy first, let alone both for that price, seems nuts. So I'm just trying to make sure I don't end up with something nobody wants because I don't really intend on fixing them up even though I think they are awesome.
