Hey everybody,

I recently bought this car for cheap and it comes with B16 head on a B20Z2 block.

Here are some pictures of it: http://imgur.com/a/GsC8g

I have a few questions:

1. What head is this b16?

2. For the picture with #1 and #2, what is #1 for? and should I put a filter on the intake manifold hole?

3. Where is the PCV valve on this thing? Seems like there is no pcv valve.

4. I want to replace the fuel filter, is it the same as the one the came with the car or a different one for this set up?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Identify this B16 head on my coupe.
1) IDK about identifying casting numbers, but search and you might find info on how to ID it. Maybe from a CRX or a Si.

Wiki entries:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_B_engine

2) Circle #1: Cap the open port on the throttle body since it isn't being used, so it can't suck in unfiltered air.
It went to the EVAP system canister on the firewall which is probably disabled.

Circle #2 should either be connected to the nipple on the valve cover that currently has that small filter, or cap the port in the large tube so it can't suck in unfiltered air. Or stick another filter on the nipple if you want to buy one.

3) The B20x CRV engine originally located its PCV valve in the top of the valve cover.
The B16x did not, it probably had a separator chamber on the back of the engine block that held its PCV valve.......... and judging by the vacuum hose in the center of the intake manifold with the big fat bolt stuck in it, whomever put this homesick abortion together couldn't figure it out either. So you probably guessed correct, this engine now has no PCV system at all other than the little filter on the valve cover.

4) The fuel filter is probably stock Civic.

And the bridge over the exhaust cam looks like it's missing a bolt.
